Hello. When I try to update bios via network or flash drive I'm facing with crash on my ProBook 440 G6. Error with screenshot is attached.

Does anyone know how this issue can be solved except buying and installing Windows?

Thanks

Hi

Your screenshot takes time to get approved, so I am guessing.

SKU: please

Is it one of these?

Personally I would make a W10 install media, make some space and attempt to install it.

For when it’s a NON MS OS ( iOS / Linux ) creating the install media.

No purchase necessary.  Then do the BIOS update and either ignore W10 or delete it.

It is unlikely that the BIOS updater will run from the command prompt.

Long shot is to make a USB and boot from that...

Hi. Thanks for such extended response and advice.

I have tried to follow your advice and ran bios update from Windows 10 by using standard HP bios update software downloaded from official website.

During installation the update software created bios backup on disk and restarted the laptop. Then bios update which consist of few stages started to run and after one  successful stage I've seen the same error.

Unfortunately I came to same results.
