I have try to upgrade Elitebook 6930p from P8400 to T9800.
result is that the Laptop run but only have black screen.
that is confusing me as on the manual HP-EliteBook-6930p-servisni-manual-en.pdf what I have from here it is listed as possible.
do I over look some detail or...??

Welcome to the HP Support Community @moonlights
Did you make sure your BIOS was upto date first???

@REO51ST
The Bios is up to date as your link say.
the TDP of the T9800 is on 35W --> about Stepping I not understand what you mean as I just do that by side as hobby.
what I figured out is that the intersection (Schnittstellen) is different on the T9800 maybe that cause the error.
But the reference for that is not really high quality... (see the links)
actuall I am a little sad as teens get successful with it but old man suffer...--> he used a T9900

I give up with T9800 as it not seams to work at all.
Bios is on F20
T9900 installed... escape screen but no access to Bios. the only F key work is F10
but on next selection not 1 F key responding
Behind F10 was one of F keys look interesting... F3 and some content about CPU if I remember right...
any Idea???
