Hello

I have an HP EliteBook 840 G6. I would like to connect to a home cinema amplifier and play 7.1 sound. The HDMI port on my computer is in version 1.4, so it does not accept 7.1!

My question is whether this will work? Will my USB-C port accept hdmi 2.1?

Thank you for your reply. This sound card does not have an HDMI port so I cannot connect it to my home cinema.
Why do you say that it can't work through the USB-C port?
