I recently started using a Lenovo USB-C dock with my EliteBook 865 G9. HP Battery Health Manager is enabled in BIOS and it was working with the original charger. However it seems to be always charging to 100% with the new dock. Is this expected?
Please let's skip the obvious non-solution of "HP recommends using an original power adapter from HP". The Lenovo dock claims compatibility with HP laptops, and I assume charge level is controlled completely within the laptop. If there is some technical reason that it's not, please educate me because I don't see this documented anywhere by HP.

UPDATE: thanks to this thread I think I've found out what's happening and that it is actually working. Based on what I see in BatteryInfoView, it appears the bios has set a wear level of 80%. Even though Windows reports the battery level as 100%, it's actually only 80% of the full capacity (60 Wh vs 76 Wh). This isn't what was happening previously with the original power supply, but I'll take it.
