Hi,
I'm very familiar with hardware and software but I'm in a slight hurry here. My wife uses an HP Elitebook 830 G5.
Due to time pressure there's been little time for her employer to set her up at home with a monitor and external keyboard.
So I want to buy one of these mini-docks.
This laptop is listed as being compatible.
Next I want to buy two LCD monitors but need to know some things.
Has anyone here got this setup working?
Were there any issues?
What max resolution can the monitors be?
It seems the monitors MUST have a Display-Port connector (which I'm unfamiliar with), yes?
I just need to know if this will work as expected, if there may be issues (I may not have ability for example to install drivers on that machine as she may not have admin account), else if anyone has a dual monitor setup working with this specific laptop please let me know details.
Thanks

- Yes, perfectly
Were there any issues?
- No
What max resolution can the monitors be?
- I have not tested other resolutions but for my existing monitors (from Dell, Asus, LG, BenQ and Samsung - they are all FHD (1920x1080)
It seems the monitors MUST have a Display-Port connector (which I'm unfamiliar with), yes?
- No, you can use direct cable from DP to HDMI
Note: I have not tested USB-C connection, only USB-A. .
Regards.
