We are in the process of testing new units with Win10 (x64 v1709), and we have two or three major issues with our Elite X2 1012 G2 notebooks that forces us to disregard this device if the issues are not fixed.
These are our issues:
1: Via policy, the computers are set to go to sleep after 20 mins. On a regular notebook (we have a lot of 840 laptops) this is not a problem. On the X2, after 20 minutes, if you open the machine, it will restart and all your work is lost. (This happens exactly after 20 mins). We have disabled both hybrid sleep and hibernate. Harddisk is set to never turn off.
2: Restarts. When restarting an X2 device, it can take up to 10 minutes before Windows logon screen is available. I`ve googled a bit and tried to set "App readiness" to manual, and installing the HP Image Enchancement for System Logon. But these have not helped. Latest BIOS upgrade (01.16) has not helped either.
3: We have some Word issues as well, were Word starts blinking if you have more than 3-4 documents open at the same time. The exact same operation works fine with our 840 laptops. The specs for the X2 we have bought, are more or less identical to the 840 machines, they have the same amount of RAM, only the 840 has a 7600 i7 CPU, and the X2 has a 7500 i7 CPU.
These issues are soon forcing us to look at tablets from other manufacturers if not fixed soon.
