I have a HP Elitebook 850 G6. There are new and new updates from Microsoft, Intel and HP for it, and I promptly let it install all of them, in hope that some issues will get resolved (My previous entry on the problems with this notebook is here).
But my notebook got stuck in Windows 10 version 1909, when my ancient HP notebook has updated to version 2004 months ago, and has a possibility to go to 20H2 if I want. But for my new notebook version 2004 "is on it's way" for an eternity, what is the problem? No explanation.
Another problem happened today, there were 3 automatic updates mysteriously named Intel with numbers, after the restart the touchpad was not working, and I couldn't get it to work no matter what I did, so I restored the system to the previous point, and disabled new updates for 7 days.
For entire day I couldn't use my computer, it's so frustrating.
Is all this a Windows problem? Intel problem? Or Hp problem? Or all of them? I bought this HP business model because my previously good experience with robustness and "they just work" feeling. Now I am starting to think my next one will be from Apple.

Hi,
Have you also updated to the latest version of the BIOS?
https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-elitebook-850-g6-notebook-pc/26609805
If you want to update to the latest version of Windows you can do so from here by clicking on update now
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10
I believe in Buisness notebooks Windows pushes out the updates later than with consumer models.
Hope it helps,
David
