The issue remains the same.

Same here.  Tried changing the Enable High Resolution setting in bios, but issue remains.

Bump, this is still a serious issue!

Hello

did you try to:

  1. disable a monitor setting that could be "Auto Sleep" and/or "auto switch".  Monitor setting could be different , so check all available settings in your monitor.
  2. once done, disconnect the monitor
  3. restart the computer without monitor connected
  4. once Windows is running , reconnect the monitor

continuse to use the notebook as usaul and see if it happens again.

bye

The monitor has no such feature. It is not a problem with the monitor, since it works fine and wakes up from sleep when using other third-party docks. The HP dock is the only dock it does not work with.

I tend to agree with RK54.  It seems to be a dock issue.  We have tried different monitors with the same result.  We have also turned off all power save and sleep settings on the monitors to no avail.

Same issue here, have tried all of the troubleshooting, setting changes etc.  Issue still remains 2 years later.

I had the same issue - I reinstalled the G4 firmware then unplugged its power.

After plugging it back in - I haven't had the issue.

Same Issue with G5 dock, up to date firmware.  I also have an issue when using a KVM with the dock.  When I switch away, the KVM does not have built in EDID so it looks to the computer like the monitor is unplugged and plugged back in.  Even this does not wake up the display.  Once it makes up its mind the thing is asleep / gone, the only way to bring it back is to power cycle the dock.  So I can switch back and forth most of the time without issue, but if for whatever reason the dock makes up its mind the monitor should be asleep, it stays that way.
