Hello everyone, I have had installed a second big screen to my notebook, was working perfectly for weeks, and today for no reason the screen lost connection with my computer, I have tried another screen and new HDMI cable and didn't worked out....
just to make sure I tested the screen on my son's notebook and it worked....so definitely the problem is my HDMI port.....oh yes and also I've tried restart computer few times.... and tried the settings but it doesnt show any link between my computer and screen.
My question:
Could there be some setting or configuration I missed, or do i really need to take it for repair service?
thanks

Hello @FernandoRS
Sorry to hear that you are having problems ... I would like to help you.
HDMI is powered, so when connecting or disconnecting HDMI cable, at least one of two devices must be powered off or there is a risk of a short circuit. |
(1) Run msinfo32
- Select <System Summary>:
--->>> Copy/screenshot/paste following key/value pairs:
OS Name |
Version |
System Model |
System SKU ( equals HP product number (p/n) ) |
Processor |
BIOS Version/Date |
BaseBoard Product |
BaseBoard Version |
(2) Start Windows <Device Manager>
- Expand <Other devices> ? (Those entries are for hardware for which Windows has not loaded a suitable driver)
- Expand <Audio inputs and outputs>
- Expand <Monitors>
- Expand <Network adapters>
- Expand <Sound, video and game controllers>
--->>> Send screenshot
