Recent BIOS updates on HP Business Laptops will add the following option in BIOS.

https://support.hp.com/hk-en/document/c06326438

Adds a feature "HP Application Driver" in F10 setup interface to support HP fusion application.

Once this is enabled, a new Unknown Device appears in Device Manager and the drivers are only available via Microsoft Update.

Does anyone know what this Fusion application is?

Hello

this is a good question.

for some notebook , such device is available even before April.

infact at this page you can find the driver and the date is March 1st.

fro my understanding its a new device used by some HP applications such as HP Velocity , HP Hotkeys, plus other that actually I don't know. I'll find more information in the future , I'll update this post.

In order to stay updated with some HP utility , I guess it's better to have that device enale in the BIOS , then install the driver, so your computer will be able to run correctly newer version of HP software.

Bye
