Elitebook 9480m
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Recently updated to Winver 1909. Now when I go to HP support to check for driver updates, whether allowing HP to identify my device or manually entering s/n, the response is "We were unable to find drivers for your product.".

This was not the case 1903 and earlier. Anyone have an idea as to what has changed in terms of HP support or otherwise?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the quick and comprehensive response. For some reason, Edge browser was not responding properly which caused the issues originally described. Using Chrome device was able to be detected and driver updates displayed.

SDM continues to college updated catalog information, and it appears that pre July '19 devices are still supported.

Downloaded image assistant only to find it doesn't support winver 1909, as stated :).

I believe device is up to date at this point, was just wondering what was going on.

Thanks again DF!

Edits - Update Content

I just checked SDM for HP Elitebook Folio 9480m - the available updates for your machine seem to fall in line (are the same) as those found in the Software and Drivers Support Website.  In so much that I can determine, the SDM catalog is current.

It is understood that this finding is meaningless in the context of whether the system needs and does not provide particular updates for Windows V1909 - the check merely confirms that SDM is not aware of any missing data.

If you have an issue or question about a particular software, let us know.

The Device Manager can provide the necessary details about the hardware.

Original Content

There were just a few updates for your computer dated 2019 - and many more for the years previous.

There are no updates for 2020 listed in the Software, Drivers and Firmware support website.

The change, in other words, may be significant or it may mean nothing at all.

Are you aware that you are missing something in particular for Windows Version 1909?

Commercial / Business class computers and workstations - Update and Software managers

If you are using SDM to check, know that SDM was retired in July 2019 - there may not be updates forthcoming even for supported products.  That just means the catalog data, may at some point, not be updated.

HP Image Assistant is still in the process of being updated for some products.

In particular, HPIA must be used for products manufactured after July 2019.

HP Support Assistant can be used - this software is not a commercial business class product and results might vary.

Reminder: Do not use the HPSA to update the BIOS.

Manual Check and Update

You may certainly depend on your own analysis.

Your product is not subject to many updates.

Checking and tracking changes is perhaps easier than with a newer product.

Check for updates here:   Software, Drivers and Firmware

Open the list, peruse the contents.

Edge has been the odd-child for a while - it may eventually get a makeover.  Not every application is compatible right now.

Yes, the answer to the original question agrees with what you found with the exception that I do not use Edge.

HPIA will, at some point be fully updated - there is no public timeline, just check it once in a while.

And, finally, yes - SDM and your software and driver website are functional.
