Product: HP EliteBook 745 G6 - 14
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I just got an HP EliteBook 745 G6 and the touchpad operation is erratic. By erratic I mean that while I use my keyboard the touchpad will move the cursor around randomly and select things randomly. 

 

I've reduced the touchpad sensitivity and remove some of the special function finger strokes, but the issue continues. This is very annoying. I could use a Bluetooth mouse and disable the touchpad, but I don't want to because then I have to carry a BlueTooth mouse everywhere I go. I'd like to only carry my laptop when I need to do work. 

 

What should I do?

If the BIOS and Drivers are up to date (Use HP Image Assistant for that), then it is likely a touchpad problem and you may need to have it serviced
