HP Probook I've had less than a year- it's always been super low volume but now i'm trying to study a new language and it's just not loud enough. I've tried all the usual turning everything up, assuring up to date drivers. I've tried connecting it to several speakers but it cuts out for all of them for whatever reason. Is there no way to make it loud enough? Thanks!

Thank you for reaching out.

I understand how much you rely on clear, crisp sound while studying a new language. I appreciate that you’ve already tried updating the drivers, even though the issue still lingers. Rest assured, we’ll work through this together to get your audio back to the quality you need.

Please try the following settings that may help improve the audio.

  • Press Windows + X and select Device Manager.

  • At the top, click on View and choose Show hidden devices.

  • Expand the section Sound, video, and game controllers.

  • Right-click each audio driver listed there and select Uninstall device.

  • Restart your laptop. Windows will automatically reinstall the required drivers.

If Windows doesn’t reinstall correctly or you want to ensure you have the correct audio driver from HP, you can download it from HP’s official site.

Once you’ve tried them, kindly let me know if this resolves the problem.

I am an HP Employee. Although I am speaking for myself and not for HP.
