I put my meter on the draw of the laptop and when Wi-Fi on, watching a video and charging the battery the draw on the 120 volt power adapter never went over 0.5 amps. Why is the adapter rated at 1.7 amps? Is there somewhere I can see the specs for this particular draw for rated operational draw on 120 volts? I have a low power DC inverter for camping and don't want to buy a bigger one if I don't need to. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Sorry, I now see nominal rating is 65 watts which calculates to 0.542 amps or peak at 0.75 amps. I probably won't be adding any peripherals so likely I won't need to buy a larger invertor as mine has nominal 0.65 amps and peak for 5 minutes @ 0.80 amps 120V.. Thanks for the spec sheets guys. Happy camping!
