I've tried everything you said but none is working.

Even tried the displayport and USB setting... no solution either...

getting rather desperate...

Works on mine is all I can say but my BIOS is slightly different and I am not using the same dock.

thanks anyway for the efforts....

Our hardware supplier has same dockings and they are working without any issues... All settings seem the same...

strange...

There is a Thunderbolt firmware update out there you may want to try for both the dock and the laptop:

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp88001-88500/sp88126.exe

Odd.

It not some kind of WLAN switching setting causing problem?

strangely when connecting the docking through thunderbolt connection sometims the network adapter is shown for a second in the networking adapters....

when installing sp82419 I receive error message:  This utility is only intended to run on HP systems. Exiting.

Are you seeing the same thing on all your docks?

HP Recommended

unfortunetaly yes....

Don't know if it makes any difference but we did a windows deployment ourselves....

That is certainly not irrelevant. Did you make even one HP restore disk from the factory installation? I would try a factory recovery on one unit and see if it makes a difference. My Zbook G3 is running a factory install of Windows 10.

any idea where I can get a recovery/restore disk ?

I see there's still an recovery partition from 19gb....
