Hotkey's with EliteBook 840 G3

Hi,

I got an problem with Hotkey sw to adjust brightness in Windows 7 64 bit.

The volume (UP, DOWN), Keyboard light (ON, OFF) works but setting the brightness with FN+F5, F6 not.

I installed the newest version "Version:6.2.20.8 Rev.A (9 May 2016) " from webpage

How can I get it work?

Same issue for me as well.

FN+Brighness do not work, others work.

OS: Windows 7 x64 SP1 patched to date

Model: 840 G3

Using:

Hotkey: 6.2.20.8 Rev.A

Graphics:  20.19.15.4457 Rev.A

Same problem here....tried multiple hotkey software versions from the latest available 6.2.20 down to the oldest ones available. All had the same issue.

Deploying on Windows 7 Ent x64. Anyone have a solution for this as of yet?

Spent an hour with HP support who had no idea, besides getting me to uninstall/re-install multiple drivers

This is nice, that they don't know how to fix it. They write the drivers like dilettants 😞

version 6.2.17.1 works, both brightness and audio levels.

The only thing is for the brightness the OSD won't show which level you're at

Unfortunately, no luck with HotKeys Software Version 16.2.17.1 Rev A for me either.

How do you install it?

I've extracted the MSI and MST for Swedish (1033 is english) and run it like this:

msiexec.exe /i "HP Hotkey Support.msi" TRANSFORMS=1053.MST REBOOT=REALLYSUPPRESS /qb-

for graphics I use version 20.19.15.4444 of Intels HD 530 driver
