Hello everyone
recently I purchased an HP Elitebook 865 G9 which is equipped with AMD Zen 3+ APU (6850HS). However, I can't increase the dedicated RAM to the embedded GPU (680M) to more than 512Mb. This is defiantly not enough for even basic games.
Does hp gonna fix his in the next bios update?

Firstly it is NOT a game machine. Integrated video (iGPU) does not have room for keeping VRAM, it relies on System. System will work this out and allocate/assign spare/available system RAM to VRAM automatically when required up to max limit. System will also take VRAM back when required (the number is dynamic, not fix). During the good old days, we could do this from BIOS but now OS is smarter.
The following document shows Max shared RAM for Intel iGPU versions (I can't find a similar list from AMD).

Note: Recently people post Youtube on internet saying they can change using Regedit. Many people try but the results are unpredictable.

It's not about gaming. In the previous 5800U, I could adjust the shared RAM for iGPU to a fixed amount of 2048 or even higher depending on my needs,
But I think 865 G9 is still in its infancy. I hope hp fixed these issues and gives more options.
