HP Pavilion x360 14 Convertible PC 14-dy0000 (45W97AV)

I just bought the Laptop alongwith PEN yesterday.

The pen isnt getting charged. It is mentioned in the manual that, upon it getting fully charged, it shall display solid white light. and during charging it shall display blinking amber light. However, while attaching the usb-c cable and using it to charge by attaching it to my laptop's usb-c .. it just shows solid amber light.. but as soon as it is detached, the light goes off, and pen isnt working, neither it is recognised by laptop nor it shows any other sign or symptom or light

Perhaps the little battery needs to be replaced.

It happens - For example, if the pen sat on the shelf long enough before sold, perhaps the battery died.
