We have an open ticket with HP regarding this issue, but so far they haven’t been able to provide a solution. As I mentioned earlier, all tests and diagnostics have shown no anomalies.

At this point, the only remaining option would be to reinstall the operating system, but we’d like to avoid that if possible—the laptop is only 6 months old and currently in use by one of our clients.

We suspect the issue might be related to the EFI partition. We’re considering formatting the partition and recreating the BCD to see if that resolves the problem.

Hi,

we have the same issue on our HP Probook 440 G10, after every Win Updates stuck on the boot.

I'm gonna to follow this topic, I need a solution too , I don't want to reinstalling the laptops

Anyone have any updates?  We have an 840 G11 that just did this, I am concerned other devices will follow!

Speaking with Hp HelpDesk,  suggest to disable FastBoot and set Boot Delay to 5

We don't have any updates. Have you tried if it works?

Hello ,

after long troubleshooting the past month . unfortunately nothing has worked .

I have noticed that to my case , the boot hardstuck occur after Security Windows updates specifically .

Good news is that for the moment, only 2 devices are still affected by this problem , hope it stays like this.

What I did so far :

-Cleared TPM in BIOS

-Windows BCD configuration has shown some anomalies regarding Graphics Driver -- update it to the new one - rolled back to other version , no success.

-Disabled Fast Startup

-Disabled Hilbernation

-SFC /DISM / CHKDSK - all clean

Since as I mentioned the affected laptops have boot issues after Security updates and not every update , I have temporary  disabled the following:

BIOS/ Security tab

Dynamic Runtime Scanning of Boot Block

Enhance HP Firmware Runtime Intrusion Prevention

I will absolutely also try the boot delay in combination with disable fast start up , maybe the combination is what's doing the trick.
