I am considering purchasing this basic configuration ZBook 17 G6 with Intel® Core™ i7 9750H processor (2.6 GHz, up to 4.5 GHz with Turbo Boost, 12 MB cache, 6 core) + Intel® UHD Graphics 630 (6CK22AV) from canada online store. It comes with 16 gb memory, 512 GB PCIe NVMe TLC SSD, and 17.3" diagonal FHD LED UWVA Anti-Glare for HD Webcam slim Ambient Light Sensor (1920x1080)(300 Nits).
I am not sure how many internal m.2 slots is available. In the configuration, it states a 3rd internal M.2 storage selection is ONLY available with a 2nd internal drive selection. Does this mean that if I only order the 512 ssd then I only have one more m.2 slot? I would prefer 3 total.
This is what shows in BHPhoto below:

Hello
quick specs at link https://www8.hp.com/h20195/v2/getpdf.aspx/c06305129.pdf
Blitz through multiple tasks and ditch external drives with up to 10 TB storage and 5 drives. Four (4) dedicated drive slots, three (3) M.2 slots, and one (1) 2.5” drive bays8; Optical disk drive bay with option for extra M.2 Storage module.
I didn't find good manual but there is this HP video on youtube : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5zBQW9rqfsc about motherboard replacement
at 1:28 , when the motherboard is removed and flipped you see the M.2 #1 slot where the 512GB disk is installed. it's classified "not customer accessible" as you have to completely remove the motherboard the change it. on the other side of themotherboard, very easy to access, there are two available M.2 slots. so it seems to be easy to add M.2 PCIe NMVE SSD #2 and #3 . what is not clear is if the screw to holds M.2 disks are already installed by HP or not. I'm never been able to find a shop selling such little M.2 screws in my country (South Europe). From the video you don't see the screws.
Look even this video, about SSD replacement:

I hope this helps you.
