Microsoft Windows 11

I have a ZBook Firefly 14 inch G8 laptop with windows 11 OS installed, that does not recognize the fingerprint reader that is integrated, it has the hardware to be able to read fingerprints and unlock with Windows Hello.
I have installed all OS updates, performed the HP assistant scan, and updated all driver recommendations. I have updated the BIOS to the latest version and it still does not recognize the reader or let me configure it.

I have also tried to manually install the drivers for the fingerprint reader that HP recommends and it does not recognize them, they do not appear in other unknown or hidden drivers in the device manager.
I don't know if it could be a hardware or laptop problem. I have also performed the UEFI diagnosis and it does not recognize the reader.

Any ideas?
thanks

I've called HP support and they have told me that my workstation model does not have a fingerprint reader. It is a fictitious o dummy reader that they use to lower production costs and not make equipment with different designs. That was my case, I recommend you consult the HP warranty number directly and consult your case.

If your HP ZBook Firefly 14 inch G8 does not recognize the fingerprint reader or other biometric devices, there are several things you can try to troubleshoot the issue. First, make sure that the device drivers for the fingerprint reader are installed and up to date. You can check this by going to the device manager in Windows and looking for any devices with a yellow exclamation mark next to them. If you see the fingerprint reader listed there, right-click on it and select "Update Driver" to see if that resolves the issue.
