On the hunt for Drivers

Hi,

Just upgraded from Win 7 to Win 10, and there were 7-8 drivers missing (exclamation mark in Device Manager).

I managed to find most of them from the HP site, but I've got stuck on the last 3.  Here are the names and the Hardware IDs.  Can anyone help?

1. PCI Encryption/Decryption Controller
   PCI\VEN_1022&DEV_1578&SUBSYS_15781022&REV_00
2. SM Bus Controller
   PCI\VEN_1022&DEV_790B&SUBSYS_807E103C&REV_4A
3. Unknown Device
   ACPI\VEN_ASD&DEV_0001

Also, the HP Accelerometer application is popping up as not compatible every boot - Its an SSD, do I even need this?  For now I've uninstalled the 3D Guard software, which has got rid of the popup.

NB - Its an AMD A10Pro APU

Hi:

For the SMBus and PCI E/D controllers, download and install the AMD chipset drivers from the link below and restart the PC.

4th file down on the page (W10/W7 x64).

It may also install the Unknown Device too, but if it doesn't I have zipped up that driver file and attached it below.

You will need to manually install the driver as follows...

Unzip the file to its folder.  Do not do anything with the files in the folder.

Go to the device manager, click on the ASD device needing the driver.

Click on the driver tab.  Click on Update Driver.

Select the Browse my computer for driver software option, and browse to the unzipped driver folder.

Make sure the Include subfolders box is checked and the driver should install.

Then restart the PC.

You don't need the 3D driveguard driver with a SSD but you can  install this driver just to have a clean device manager.

Thank you very much.  That AMD driver did the job for all 3.

Frustrating in a way, as I installed all the AMD drivers from the product page.  But happy to say it all looks grand now 🙂

As for 3G Guard, I just uninstalled it entirely, so that's fine too.

I have no idea why HP does not include the AMD chipset drivers on the notebook support pages but they don't.
