Probook 440 G5
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have bought the HP Probook 440 G5 in March 2018, immediately the battery capacity was 95% of the "design capacity". HP refused to see this as a warranty case and claimed battery degradation is normal.

Before the first year (the warranty period) it was 82% and also HP did not see this as a warranty case, even while the battery had only 100 cycles. Recently the battery died completely and I replaced it with brand new genuine HP RR03XL battery.

After complete charge it shows 94% of the 'design capacity' with 1 cycle on it. The battery is not old stock, it was manufactured 13.10.2020.

After disassembly of the old battery I could see the battery cells are Samsung ICP596080 prismatic cells with official specifications of 3780 mAh / 14.36 Wh capacity. 3-cell battery is 14.36*3 = 43.08 Wh, not what HP states as 48 Wh 4.21 Ah.

This is a fraud and HP misrepresents the battery specifications for HP 851610-855. Also improper capacity may cause accelerated battery degradation.

How can I get compensation from HP for the purchase of the laptop with sub-performing battery and a new battery that does not meet the design specifications?

94% after full charge and 92% after complete cycle. I wish I have bought replacement cells or cheap replacement battery instead of genuine HP.
