Hello everyone,
I really need your help on choosing a mobile workstation which will be used in hospital for EEG (brain waves) recording and analysis. A dedicated GPU is required and I have limited options only. Currently I am stuck on choosing between two options. While the second option is a lot more powerful, I doubt if it is as reliable as the first option. Also the second options lacks removable battery. My main concerns are: reliability, battery life and only afterwards performance.
The options are below. Any help is appreciated.
1 Option: HP ZBook 15U G4 i7-7500U/8GB/1TB/15.6/AMD FirePro/W10
2 Option: HP ZBook 15V G5 / core i7 8750h / 16gb ram / 512g ssd / 4gb quadro p600 video / 15.6

All ZBooks are field serviceable and design for highly reliable operation... there are significant performance differences between a 15u and a 15v, the later offering much higher 6-core CPU performance and P1000 graphics... of course, it comes at a slightly heavier weight and a bit thicker

actually, the zbook 15v has a nvidia p600 graphics card... see the quickspecs tech sheet at http://www8.hp.com/h20195/v2/GetDocument.aspx?docname=c05941104&search=15v

Thank you very much for your reply.
According to photos, the 15V looks more like a gaming PC and also it lacks physical trackpad buttons. The display hinges look not reliable.
In this case I prefer reliability over performance. Weight and thickness is not important.
Do you think that they're equally reliable?

the zbook 15v was designed to have a more consumer look... and should be as reliable as other zbooks... if performance is priority, then this is the laptop to have, unless you can go to a zbook studio (or x360 studio)... otherwise, the 15u with quad core procs is a terrific laptop
both 15u and 15v support hp tunderbolt 3 dock, although the 15 requires the dock with the 230W power supply while the 15u can be used with either the 230W or the 120W dock
