Had it with replacement batteries from internet sites.
Kindly advise if I can purchase a replacement battery from HP for my 2230s laptop. Yes its old and uses Vista but it runs beautifully.
Thanks

Perhaps not from HP. Here is the Service Manual:
HP does not stock batteries for 9 years. However, third party vendors will have them.
2 batteries were offered:
(15) Battery 4-cell, 37-Wh 493202-001 8-cell, 73-Wh 501935-001
Genuine, new:
"Compatible", new:
On a laptop of that age I would generally not hesitate to use a "compatible" battery. They generally work fine and the sellers are more than willing to replace them if they do not. But "genuine" is still available from China. I am a bit surprised because I have been here a long time and do not recall ever seeing a question about this model before. HP must not have produced very many of them. Also not surprised it is still running as the Business laptops of that era are very well made.
