zBook Studio G3
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Laptop only shuts down when holding power button for 6+ secs.

Using the 'Shut Down' option within Windows turns the screen black, but when USB connected mouse, is moved or the trackpad is touched, the laptop wakes again - it's as if it's going to sleep rather than shutting down.

Device is running latest BIOS of 01.19 Rev.A and it up to date with all Windows updates.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Did you install W10 Fall Creators Update ?

If yes you need to do a file .bat for the shtdown.

New text document

Inside you write     C:\Windows\System32\shutdown.exe /s /t 00

Save and then you change the extension from ".txt" to ".bat"

Now it will works

Yes, i installed the creators update.

Is this a known issue with the update?

I will test your solution when i have access to the machine.

Thanks for your reply.

Yes, it's something about FastBoot implemented by M$.

But the only working solution is this little file batch.
