hi,

I have the same issue you aren't alone. let's see who helps us.

Does anyone keep track of what HP is doing about this? Are we supposed to do some actions, make a fail report or a complaint?

My only contribution is to read this thread, but I would like to know what´s being done about it, progress and a time schedule for the solution. What´s the official HP statement?

I have windows 10 and the same thing happens to me. And it was after one of the thousand updates he made automatically.

Hello. i have same problem.

@Staffan55: Agree with you. It would be great to get a statement from HP.
I don't know if someone raised an incident beside this thread.

I'm pretty sure that some people here would try to assist in finding a solution (myself included). Maybe there is some related information available in Windows / HP log files on our computers but nobody knows... I would try to support if some kind of checks/tests need to be done but that requires guidance by HP.

I was having the same issue. Then I uninstalled "HP Power Manager" and the issue disappeared.

Some days ago a new version of "HP Power Manager" and a BIOS Update has been installed by "HP Support Assistant", but the issue did not come back.

This has been installed:
Bios Version 01.09.00

HP Power Manager Version 3.0.14.0

HP Zbook Fury G7

@Ra_Go, I have the same hardware as you and also the same software. I downloaded the HP Power Manager again and installed it, but the high speed fan fault remains.

I can handle this, but it is a bit annoying having to delete the process after every restart.

Then there is another fan related problem in this new expensive computer. There is a sound from inside like from a harddisk or a CD ROM (an intermittent hacking). But I have neither. Are there several fans in this computer? And is what I´m hearing a second, not functioning, fan? HP wants to have my computer for 10 days to fix this, but I can´t be without it that long.

Greatful for any tips or advice.

Go in the start menu, APP and functionalities and disinstall the one called "ICS".

Now you are free at each re-start.

Once the update will be released, you can always re-install later on.

Do not worry, it is completely unusefull as application....

My Hp is now silent as it was...!

Enjoy!

Are you for real? All of the tips provided previously should work.

But if you're still unsecure: JUST UNINSTALL "ICS". Problem solved.
