Thunderbolt 3 Dock
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a Thunderbolt 3 Dock attached to an EliteBook 1040 G3.  About 50% of the time when I connect the notebook and power it up the USB and Ethernet ports do not work, but the DisplayPorts do.  I have to power it off or reset my laptop to get it working again.  Has anyone seen similar issues?  Or, come up with a fix?

hello

Elitebook 1040 G3 doesn't have a Thunderbolt port , just a Basic USB-C with USB 3.1 signals .

a TB3 docking is not supported , I'm surprised that DisplayPort is working and Ethernt is not, i was expecting the opposite.

In any case you can't expect to have a TB3 docking working to that USB-C basic ports.

bye

I have a similar issue with 1040 G4, Thunderbolt 3 Dock and Windows 10 1903. The issue started right after the upgrade from 1809 to 1903. Not yet found any workarround to deal with it.
