HP EliteBook 860 16 inch G11 Notebook PC (8N369AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

My touchpad doesn't work anymore.

In "Device Manager", under option "Mice and other pointing devices", the sub-option "Synaptics precisionTouchpad Filter Driver" doesn't appear as shown in screenshoot.
I also can't see option "Touchpad" under "Bluetooch & devices" option when opening "Windows Settings".
There is no option "Touchpad settings" when using "windows button" to open search field and searching for the word "touchpad".
Thus, Ican't access "Touchpad" sub-option, inside "Bluetooth & devices".

When doing component tests through HP PC Harware Diagnostics, I got the following failure ID : M0FX64-000CSM-MFGJL1-G1RE13

Hello.

Does the touchpad work in the laptop BIOS? If not, then very likely the touchpad has a malfunction.

(You can enter the BIOS by tapping repeatedly F10 during boot when the laptop boot logo is shown)

I would recommend either contacting HP directly and opening a warranty case, or taking the laptop to a local HP Service Partner and have them take a look - and escalating to a warranty case if necessary.

Hi,

Indeed, the touchpad was physically dammaged.

The problem was solved by HP technician who came and change the touchpad device.

Thanks !
