Product: zbook 15 g1
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

anyone encounter black screen after installed windows 7 in zbook g1/840 g1 when boot mode is UEFI Native (Without CSM), secureboot is off ?

 

however i don't have this problem with windows 7 when boot mode is legacy.

 

the reason why i want to install windows 7 in uefi mode is because so that next time can do in-place upgrade without formatting.

when you have the black screen , at which point of booting phase ?

 

Did you try to check the entries in EFI\Microsoft\boot\BCD file hat is in the EFI partition ?

 

you must have some good knowledge to play with it using "bcdedit /store EFI\Microsoft\boot\BCD".
