I have purchased a 5 port USB C type hub or dock.  It has HDMI, RJ45 Ethernet, and USB-C also 2 other USB ports.  The USB ports work, I am unable to test the either net, but the HDMI and USB-C port do not work.  I'm told there are no drivers.  Windows Device Manager assigns a Realtek USB FE Family Controller to the device.  I do not understand what HDMI Alt Mode will support and now I'm not sure if either the new adapter or my laptop will support it.

Thank you so much.  That does tell me that it is going to take a more powerful controller than the ones I was looking at.  I was hoping to spend less than $50 US for the controller.  I can stop thinking the one I purchased will work and go ahead and send it back.
