Hello
We are having more issues with usb-c ports who are starting to give a wide range of issues.
Not charging the laptop, not finding external screens. No reaction from the docking. Reacting to external devices but not recognizing the device.
-Updating drivers don't help.
-Firmware updates no difference.
Only thing that's helps is to shutdown the machine, disconnect the laptop and press the powerbutton for a full 30 sec(hardreset). And the issue is gone for a long time.
We are having this issue on g8, g9 and the g10.
Freshly staged or long in use. We updated all g5 docking to the latest version.
Something triggers the Usb-C ports to go in "protective mode" A hardreset reset this state.

Hi @Alden4,
I'm interested to know what message you sent to @BartKUL to resolve this issue.
Can you share please?
I have alot of HP Elitebook G10 laptops that suddenly stop charging via the USB-C port or become unresponsive if using a USB-C headset.
Only fix is to carryout a hard reset but having to do this every other day is not a permanent solution.
