HP Notebook 15-dy1078nr
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

how get rid of very thin vertical line, black, 2/3 of way from L to R.

Shows on EVERY page displayed, never changes on this display.

Does not show on external display.

I am current on drivers.

No known physical damage or event.

No known correlation to when anything else happened on this computer.

All else works as should/expected on this computer.

Thanks so much!

hello,

this could indicate an electronic defect in the lcd/led matrix. You cannot fix something like this with a driver update. If the error occurred suddenly, you cannot currently change it.

If you connect an external monitor and this error is also displayed here, the graphics card is affected. Then the driver of the graphics card should be reinstalled/updated first.

If no error is displayed on the external monitor, the notebook's display is partially defective, as already described above.

best regards
