Hi, @UdayaSLa83

Some of the business notebooks do have 3 year warranties.  My HP 6930p did, for example.

However, some only have 1 year warranties, such as my HP 350 G1.

Before you contact HP by phone, you may want to first submit a warranty dispute form to get the warranty start and end dates adjusted.

Hi,

Manufacturer warranty for most of the consumer based notebook is for 1 year max.

If you've invoice receipt/bill of this purchase, you can contact HP directly to correct the warranty date in their database. You may need to send in a copy of invoice at request by HP support agent

thanx. you know how to be sure the lap is genuine? I have very little aware of my HP probook 450 g4. seller told me it was good & bought.

You're very welcome.

The notebook is most likely genuine since you got a record of HP indicating the warranty was expired.

If the notebook was not genuine, you would have gotten a message that states in substance that 'we are unable to verify the serial number or product number,' or something like that.

Why does the warranty show as expired?

HP for whatever reason starts the warranty clock ticking the minute the PC leaves the factory.

So, if it is been sitting in a warehouse somewhere for a while, that is why the warranty expires or you lose months off of it.

HP has moved on to the 450 G5 notebook series, so your model is at least a year old or more.

I do not think it is 3 years old though, and some of the warranty should have still been left if there is a 3 year warranty on it.

Sometimes on the bottom of the PC there will be a warranty code, such as 3y/3y/3y.   That would stand for 3 years parts, 3 years labor, 3 years on-site service.
