A few amateur questions I would appreciate some advice on:
On a 2014 hp zbook, when going from Windows 7 to Windows 10, do you have to reinstall all programs ? What if you don't have program installation details like discs or product keys etc ? For programs like Microsoft etc?
Where would I be able to find those details, to reinstall programs if needed ?
Also wondering if it is worth it or advantageous at all, resetting computer completely, if going to the effort of installing Windows 10 ? What would you recommend ?

Hello
as WIndows 7 support is ended , you will not get nay new security and feature update from Microsoft, so if you want to have a system connected to internet, it's better to have Windows 10.
Not sure about what is better among update and clean install .
If you do a Clean install, you can set the BIOS in UEFI mode and partition the disk as GTP insteda of MBR, and if the BIOS has SecureBoot option , you enable it and havea most secure platform but you have to reinstall all software and date.
bye
