Dear all,
recently I've finally received my ZBook Fury 15 G8, almost six months after I've had to claim my previous G7 one, that had faulty 4K UHD touch screen 😅
This one is almost full configuration with Core-i9 vPro, RTXA3000, 4K UHD DreamColor, etc.
But, unfortunately, it didn't came acc. to the full spec. sent by me when ordering. Namely, it was stated that it shall have, but it doesn't:
- ALS (Ambient Light Sensor),
- DreamColor display has the ability to choose between color space, between AdobeRGB, sRGB and DCI-P3
- it shall have Win10Pro high end (for workstation), but it has standard Win10Pro
Moreover, it came, out of the box, with a small dent - damage on the display cover edge, exactly on the place where the security cardboard packing lays on (see the image).
This misleading info on the provided datasheet was all sent to HP support and waiting for their final feedback.
Also, I have an issue installing the nVidia update drivers in all scenarios (through HP Support Ass or downloading it directly and disabling HP Wolf Sec. and Defender), but it stops with mess. "Failed to extract.cab files"?!
So, my question is did anyone experienced similar issues I'v,e unluckily, faced second time with my Fury and how it solved?
For me, this is all unaccepted for a device that shall be of premium build quality and exact specifications, since it's a professional working machine, that costs like a used car!
Thanks for giving me some feedback to know what to do, since replacing it again and waiting ??? months, will leave me and my company with huge problems in our daily work.
