Greetings.
As noted in the subject line, I have 1st gen ZBook.
It has the Nviidia K3100 graphics card but I don't know if that is the GPU the system is actually using or if it is using the integrated graphics on the processor ( i7 4800MQ ). Is there a way to check? How do you switch from one to the other?
I use the system for lite/moderate video editing and recently upgraded the software (I use Sony Movie Studio) upon boot up of the software I now get a warning that the GPU doesn't meet the minimum requirements for one of the titling components.
Here's the thing: the "upgrade" was to a version that was current when this machine was built. I went from v12 to v13 and the latest version, I think, is 17 or 18. The same component is in version 12 and ran fine, but 12 doesn't offer 4K rendering.
I plan to update the Nvidia video driver but the effort is moot if the system isn't using it.
All thoughts are welcome, thanks in advance.
K

There are few options on the following

You should know which option is applicable on your machine.

Greetings Benhien, I appreciate the reply.
Forgive my ignorance, but I do not see how the link answers my question (how can I tell if my machine is using the Nvidia card instead of the integrated graphics) or how it relates to my machine. The link shows the specs for the 15 inch ZBook, (mine is the 17 inch) The 15 inch didn't even offer the Nvida card in my machine.
Thanks though for the input
K
