I've setup my HP ZBook 15 G5 with an Elite Dock with Thunderbolt 3. I followed all directions to update drivers including the reccomendations here: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Business-Notebooks/HP-Zbook-Thunderbolt-3-Dock-USB-ports-not-working/m...
The Broadcom Ethernet Controller is not appearing in the Network Adapters in devices. I've tried resetting the BIOS to turn off security settings for Thunderbolt as we reccomended here: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Hardware-and-Upgrade-Questions/Zbook-200W-Thunderbolt-3-dock-...
I've tried unplugging the dock, restarting the computer without the dock, plugging the dock back in and having the computer recognize the dock again. The ethernet connector lights green when the ethernet connection is pluged in.

The HP Tunderbolt (original G1) dock has a Broadcom nic, but the new TB3 G2 dock has a Realtek adapter. So, you have to make sure you have a Realtek driver in your system
Also, what is the status of the Lan/WLan setting in the BIOS? finally, did you install the HP HotKeys softpaq in your system? they all work together to disable the wlan and enable the lan port on the dock along with Windows 10
In a normal operation (I use the same setup currentley with the TB 3 G2 dock), after i boot the system, it takes several seconds for Windows to enable the dock's lan port and disable the wlan connection

I completed an update to the HP Thunderbolt Dock Realtek Ethernet Drive here: https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-thunderbolt-dock/20075223/model/20075227. I restarted the laptop and the dock ethernet was not recognized. I then tried unplugging the dock and plugging it back in without success. The dock ethernet is not recognized.
BIOS Setup (F10)
Built in Device Options - LAN / WLAN Auto Switching [unchecked], Wake on WLAN [unchecked]
3rd Party Option ROM Management (F3)
With dock unplugged > Network Device List:
MAC address ending in 61 visible > Select Device > Intel(R) Ethernet Connection
Rebooting and dock plugged in > Network Device List:
MAC address ending in 61 visible > Select Device > Network Device as a selection option = Intel(R) Ethernet Connection
MAC address ending in FF visible > Select Device > Network Device not listed as a selection option.
When selecting the Intel Ethernet Connection, I am able to select 'Blink LED' to flash the LED on the laptop ethernet adapter. However since I am unable to select the Realtek device, I am unable to set the option to blink the LEDs.
When plugging the ethernet cable directly in the dock port the LEDs light up.
