Just to know, did you change the hybrid graphics in BIOS to "Discrete"?

In my case I activate this "Discrete" option to always use the Nvidia GPU (the mix of GPU never work as expected).

I will try to reuse the Hybrid option to show if there is a difference.

Yes, tried all graphics settings in the BIOS. No difference here from what I could tell.

No change too...

I try doing something with notebook fan control but I only get the CPU temperature. Does somebody know how to define fan speed with the GPU temperature AND the CPU temperature?

I had the same problem - the fan constant running at full speed when powering on the ZBook 15 G3.

I tried a lot of different things in BIOS and Windows update and such - nothing solved the issue.

The solution in my case was:

1: Start PC and log into Windows

2: Press and hold the Power Button for 30-40 seconds (the PC will shutdown after 5-10 seconds but keep pressing the power button)

3: Start PC again -> the fan was now "normal" again

Recently bought a HP Zbook Studio G4 15 notebook and was very disapponted to find out about this fan issue. Here is the method that worked for me:

1. Install the latest version of NoteBook Fan Control from here:
NoteBook Fan Control

2. Copy the contents of the configuration file:
https://github.com/xuanguang/Software/tree/master/Fan/NotebookFanCtrl/config
into a text editor and save it as an .xml file with the name HP Zbook Studio 15 G3 in
C:\Program Files (x86)\NoteBook FanControl\Configs

3. Start NoteBook Fan Control, select the new configuration from the ones available and then enable it. The fans should slow down and there should be no noise.

Hope this helps someone.

PS: Another disappointment
It seems that my machine has some kind of keyboard problem as some keys have to be pressed really hard to actually be recognised .

Thanks so much for your post Xanguang (message 9). I did exactly the same and it worked immediately.
