Zbook 15 G6
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi guys,

Trying to nail down the issue with my ZBook which randomly totally freezes. The screen either freezes or goes black and the only way out is press power for 15 seconds.

All tests run several times under Windows and Bios without result

All driver up to date, Windows up to date.

Ruled out TurboBoost by disabling it, ruled out dock by not connecting it, re-installed Windows both pure vanilla MS-Distribution and HP Zbook pre-load, even downloaded latest version did not solve the issue. Next step will be to move to a different SSD because I had similar issues with my Zbook 14 G2 until I switched from M.2 to SATA, after that switch it kept running for years smoothly.

Any other ideas?

from your comments, it seems you have done quite a bit of troubleshooting already... The Zbook family typically has a 3 year warranty - although can't comment for systems outside the US... you should be able to open a HP support case for that device and get it fixed, if it is indeed a h/w problem

i assume you have used HP Image Assistant to confirm all BIOS and drivers are up to date
