mine have:
i5-7200u, 8GB, 256SSD

With only Office things like "Write, office, mails..." its completly fine.
Noise is low in office mode to. You cant hear the fan in a normal ambient at work.
The Keyboard is silent and very good to write.
The Touchpad is bad and the Buttons are to loud.

The other Thing is the SCREEN

Its a cheap TN with a blue Color Touch.

You should go with an IPS Screen. It doesnt stress your Eyes so much.

I send you a Link in a PM

greetings, Zachal

Hi

I want to thak you for your advice.

I have now got a laptop with some decent cooling.

What I have done is cut a hole in the back of the laptop and then covered it with some stylish mesh from a kitchen sieve.

I aslo placed some heatsinks on the voltage regulation module above the processor.

This means that cold air is drawn in accross these heatsinks cooling the cpu's power delivery circuit before being exhausted out of the fan and through the cpu cooler.

I have also added new thermal paste.

I have then used intel xtu to undervolt the processor, and in theory the cooling on the voltage regulation module should allow for better stability.

The computer is now capable of sustaining 2.7 GHz all the time.

Also i replaced the hard drive with an SSD. The hardrive makes at least as much noise as the fan.

Definately upgrade ram if you have 4GB, it makes a huge difference to performance. (16GB max)
