Hello.
The same endpoint security controller error has been reported before on these same forums, though not necessarily with 840 G5. In this case HP replaced system board.
Googling around, this looks like a corrupted BIOS data, and a BIOS update nor BIOS defaults may not fix it. Even though your warranty is likely expired, I recommend asking HP support directly if they have a fix for this problem.
If HP can't or won't help you, your options are either replacing the system board ($$$) OR checking the various hardware forums where people seem to have had the problem fixed with some (very advanced) BIOS file editing, for example this page. Good luck!
