I am running Windows 10 on HP Pavilion 17" laptop (Product Number: F9M03UA#ABA) for more than a year. Recently, I am getting logged off randomly by the system. No new hardware or software was added. Any help would be appreciated. All I use my laptop id for web browsing.

Hi! @vic99, Welcome to HP forums.
I understand your laptop gets randomly logged off while you are working.
Don't worry I'll try to help you out.
Did you make any software or hardware changes on your PC?
Please provide the product number of your PC to assist you better.
As you mentioned your laptop gets randomly logged off while you are working.
Try restoring the BIOS to defaults and check if it helps.
- Turn off the computer and wait five seconds.
- Press the Power button to start the computer and repeatedly press the F10 key to enter the BIOS setup menu.
- On the BIOS Setup screen, press F9 to select and load the BIOS Setup Default settings.
- Press F10 to Save and Exit.
- Use the arrow keys to select Yes, then press Enter when asked Exit Saving Changes?
- Follow the prompts to restart your computer.
Try the steps recommended below.
When you open ‘gpedit.msc’ from a Run-window or command prompt you can walk through the tree to ‘Computer Configuration’ -> ‘Windows Settings’ -> ‘Security Settings’ -> ‘Local Policies’ -> ‘Audit Policy’
There check the boxes for Success and Failure for ‘Audit logon events’ and ‘Audit account logon events’.
There’s a good chance you’ll see relevant events appear in the security event log from the time you were automatically logged out about why you got logged off.
Or Most probably you have switched on "Dynamic lock". This detects if you are using the computer or not and locks it if you seem to be away.
You can find this at: Settings (Windws+i) -> Accounts -> Sign-in options -> Dynamic lock
Also, try running a system diagnostics test on your PC and check if the hardware components on your PC are functioning correctly.
Refer this article to know more information about running system diagnostics on your PC.

I have not applied any new software or hardware. I do have windows update occurring automatically to keep my system uptodate with all of new patches.
Product Name: HP Pavilion 17 Notebook PC
Product Number : F9M03UA#ABA
Serial Number:[edit]
After having the random logout issue, I have downloaded and applied following from HP site.
sp63396.exe (Realtek Lan Driver)
sp66123.exe (energy_power_plan)
sp71811.exe
sp71870.exe (AMD_HD_GRaphics_driver)
sp72517.exe (Realtek_wireless_lan_driver)
sp79620_BIOS.exe (BIOS Update)
The "Run" can not find gpedit.msc to turn on the events. I am running Windows 10. Also, when I launch HP PC HW Diagnostic from the Start menu, the diagnostic application dosen't loanch and gives no error.

My computer is still randomly logging me off. I cleaned the fan and my power supply was checked OK by someone at work. I see Kernel-power event in event viewer. It is a critical event. The details are below.

i have been having this problem for months. but also have been in the process of leaving the "MAXTHON" browser and switching to the vivaldi browser. i have finally realized that i only experience this issue after i have opened "MAXTHON" browser during the session. MAXTHON installation also includes a service that cannot be disabled. sessions where i didn't use maxthon never seemed to have this issue. so i saved my bookmarks and uninstalled and so far i haven't had the f'ing random logoff b.s.. . hold on i'm looking for a piece of wood to knock on... idk something to consider... worked for me.
