Having an expired or short remaining warranty does not necessarily mean the device is used, especially if it was ordered as new. HP systems can sometimes show an incorrect warranty status for a brand-new device, for example if it was manufactured earlier or the warranty record was not updated after purchase. HP can verify the serial number and correct the warranty details if there is an error, using the purchase invoice as proof.
Also check for signs of prior use, such as scratches, worn keys or ports, fingerprints, missing protective films, non-original packaging, missing accessories, or an already set-up/activated device. If you found any or suspect it, contact Amazon then return it and get replacment.
For warrenty correction, you can dispute your warranty with proof of purchase here:

If there is no Warranty Dispute Page for your region, you may need to reach out directly to HP support to correct this. Open this link- https://support.hp.com/us-en/ then select your region from the bottom and choose contact hp agent directly. Depending on your region it may or may not be harder to contact. Look for online chat or call. (Don't purchase anything of shown there)
