HP Recommended

The XTU picture is telling me that something is wrong in the cpu config (in BIOS?). The processor is almost idling the current limit is cutting in. The i5-6200U standard TDP is 15W  and now it's using 3 and it's not hot or anything.

 

You could add the core voltage to the traces and numbers (from the little wrench icon). According to the wikichip, the core voltage range is 0.55 V-1.52 V

 

Also run the benchmark on AC power and compare what you get.

On my i5-8250U the benchmark results do not differ all that much between AC/Battery. If I remember right 529 on AC and 512 on battery.  Both with the HP Recommended power plan.

And i found the problem ,you pointed me in the right direction this option was not checked in BIOS

when i check enable turbo boost on DC everything is fine now its super fast like on power supply.

it warn me about something with windows 10 not supporting ,this or what ever it works ,i'm with win 10 pro.

Good job!

 

Turns out there are a lot of hidden options available in the power configuration.

 

You can list them all by entering the command powercfg /qh in admin prompt.

 

The options can be tinkered with either by using the powercfg command or they can be made visible in the advanced power plan settings by changing an attribute in the registry.  But of course there is a reason why they are hidden. Easy to mess up your system so be careful out there.

Now your picture came visible. The business models seem to have many more config options in the BIOS. On my Pavilion 15 I have, well, almost less than nothing :Crying:
