HP Compaq 6200 Microtower
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

The title kind of summarizes it, since the system socket is LGA 1155 i wanted to know if it works with a 3rd gen cpu, i know that in the product especifications it doesn't say if these processors work on it, but since i saw some people that were able to make a Xeon work on this PC i want to know if somebody was able to make one of these cpu's work on this pc.

Also please forgive my "engrish"

no the hp 6200 pro's chipset/bios will not support a 3rd gen cpu

what you can do is replace the 6200 board with a 8300 elite sff/mt  board which is the same motherboard formfactor & rear I/O but supports a slightly newer cpu line check ebay for a board they usually run about 20.00 usd
