HP USB-C Dock G5
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My HP USB-C Dock G5 is not powering on.

I have checked the power supply and it is charging my laptop direct (HP ProBook 430 G5) without any issues.

Is there any  way to check the dock and therefore whether it is faulty/broken?

Suggestions appreciated.

That means it is working. Can you see a small white light on its top ? Can you connect other device(s) to it (for example: monitors, keyboard ...).

Regards.

No sorry I think you misunderstood.
The power supply is charging my laptop if I remove it from the dock and plug it in directly.
The same power supply does not do anything when connected to the dock including charge the laptop and the white light does not come on.
