Hello,
I bought a HP Z Turbo Drive 256GB PCIe . There is a cable to the LED Connector on the motherboard but I can not find a LED Connector PiN on the motherboard. Is it really necessary to be connected and where to find that Connector-PIN.
Thanky you for help

There are two Z Turbo Drives... the version 1 and the version 2. The V1 works on both the ZX20 and ZX40 generations of HP workstations. The V2 has the nice aluminum heat spreader included, and it works on the ZX40 workstations but not the ZX20 ones. Both can use the same 2-wire drive activity cable that comes with the kit if bought new.
Attached are two pictures you will be able to see when a moderator releases them. The first is the MB diagram from the Z840 technical and service guide.... the 2-pin motherboard header you want is #12. The activity light is LED so polarity is important.... if it does not flash one way rotate one end 180 degrees and re-plug in. No harm done if polarity is initially reversed.
When I experimented on this at least with my Z620 workstation the amount of drive activity shown was quite a bit less with a ZTD than with a SSD or a HDD. Mine was V1, used, did not have the 2-wire cable, and tracking the right size down was not really worth the effort. That cable is not needed for proper function at all. See below:
