Z840
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I would like to set the two Xeon E5-2637-v4 of my Z840 at their maximum CPU frequency. Always. I already set the Power plan to High Performance in windows. I knew this trick worked on i7 CPU, but it doesn't suffice for the xeon.

I believe that if I could disable the Enhanced Intel SpeedStep Technology I have a chance to make it.

I didn't find access to such setting in the BIOS.

Do you know if it's possible to disable it?

Is there another way to set the CPU frequency to it's maximum value, instead of having it swing depending on the workload?

Regards,

Robin

Hi RawBean007,
Greetings!

EIST enable/disable option isn't available in BIOS.
However, you can do power changes in BIOS.
Go to BIOS (F10) >> Advanced >> Power and Performance Options.
Runtime Power Management >> Enable.
Turbo Mode >> Enable.
Idle Power Savings >> Normal.

For enabling / Disabling EIST in windows, please click on the link mentioned below.
