Product: HP Z440
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Is a Tesla K10 GPU Accelerator compatible with an HP Z440? If it is compatible, are there cooling and power supply issues I have to consider? I tried looking for information online to no avail.

 

More context: I would install this in the second GPU slot.

as i recall the answer is mostly a no and this is due to the card having no active (fan) cooling solution and the power draw, the card was designed for servers that supplied the necessary cooling via it's internal case fans

 

however there are some 3d printed cooling adapters that allow a fan to be connected to the card, as to how well they work or how loud they are i have no idea

also note that this board draws 225 watts, so you will need the z440's upgraded 700 watt supply

 

and keep in mind the card  has NO VIDEO OUTPUT, it's only used as a coprocessor not as a video display device

Thank you so much for the link to the 3d printed cooling adapters, while I knew I had to add a cooling fan, I wasn't sure which one was appropriate.
